PETER CORK studied composition at the Royal College of Music with Gordon Jacob before beginning his exemplary career as a music teacher in London and then in Sydney, Australia. One of his first pupils was Dudley Moore, with whom he maintained close contact and friendship throughout the years, even appearing on Dudley’s This is Your Life filmed in Los Angeles in 1987. At the age of 50 Peter moved from full time teaching to professional composing, particularly library music for television, film and radio covering a wide range of period styles; this music has been used across the world. Peter has composed for many BBC Radio programmes, forming close alliance with the award winning documentaty producer, PIERS PLOWRIGHT.
