		Cameo introduces the phenomenal male "sopranist" Arno Raunig, reissuing his unjustly neglected 1989 digital recording of motets by Mozart and Salieri. The CD features six arias and two motets (three arias and one motet each by Mozart and Salieri). In our opinion these recordings represent one of the closest approaches possible nowadays to the true sound of the castrati singers of the 18th century. Herr Raunig achieves this entirely without electronic enhancements, which have been thought necessary when emulating this voice type. Includes: Salieri’s motet “Fremat Thyrannus” Mozart’s “Exsultate Jubilate”
